Help me on deciding a domain name
Hey guys, I’m trying to set-up a next blog on Christianity + its resources.
It’ll be a blog (WordPress) containing sermon summaries from my church, bible studies, cell group discussions, and some personal posts as well.
Can you suggest a good domain name? At the moment I’m thinking to grab www.writeforgod.com but if you have a better suggestion, please share it here! Please check first whether the domain is still available before suggesting (www.checkdomain.com)
I also think to put it as a sub-folder under my personal website (www.michaelaulia.com/ ….something…) instead of a new domain name for it. What do you guys think?

It’s amazing how people actually want to buy your old used stuffs. It’s even amazing that people actually want to buy useless stuffs such as a haunted box, a typhoon being caught in a bottle, a bat mobil (car), their own grandmas and many other useless items (or person - considering that grandma bit lol) But believe me, I’ve seen those item listings before for real on eBay!
Some even wanted to sell their soul to the devil! My goodness, how mad the world has become!
I always wanted to sell my second hand items, but having to pay eBay fees for listings, for the purchase, having to send the items, warranty, etc turned me off. Wish I can just sell it for any price and forget about it.
So while browsing some interesting opportunities on SocialSpark.com, I saw a service (or a store actually) called “iSOLD It” and decited to put up some words about it.

Migrating your WordPress Permalinks Structure
Since the beginning of this month, I want to focus more on search engine optimization (SEO) for my blog. I’ve been getting 1000-2000 visitors a day for the last few months, but that was because of a help from Social Bookmarking sites. Take them all out, and the truth is that I’m only getting 500-800 visitors a day (only around 300 are from organic/search engines :()
With a bit of help from Dean Lees’ Permalink Migration plug-in, I’m all set!

Happy Mother’s Day 2008
Just want to say to all moms and moms-going-to-be, Happy Mother’s Day!
Although in my family, we don’t usually say happy mother’s day (sadly :D), I do love my mom very much and I hope that you love your mom too. She has endured a lot of hardships and has taken good care of you even when you were still in her womb.
To all moms, hoping that you’ve taken good care of your kids well, especially during their first few years of age.
I learnt 3 great moms from the Bible today at church this morning (Mose’s Mom, Jochebed [Numbers 26:59, Exodus 1:22-2:10], Hanna [1Sam 1:12-18], Eunice [2Tim 1:5]). All of them showed great compassion to their kids and have trained them well to have a good heart, humility, and sincere faith.
May the Lord bless all of you and your family ahead!
Take screenshots in Games easily
I’m planning to put up a review about Rainbow Six Vegas 2 soon, a game that I’m currently playing. So I was trying to find a way on how to take screenshots in-game. Most of the suggestions I’ve got from Googling is to use the PrintScreen button! What the.. so you press PrintScreen, Alt-Tab from the game, paste it on your Image editor? That’s lame!
During my “treasure hunt”, I’ve finally found a freeware called: Screenshot Pilot!
How to explain RSS to your non techie friends
I was browsing some other blogs through Entrecard.com, and found a nice post that embeds a video explaining what RSS is. It’s a very good video and simple to understand.
Honestly, I didn’t even know what RSS is all about until the beginning of this year (Yes, It’s true!)

It also has its own analytics that will analyze all of your email traffics, which is kinda cool.
Re-designing your WordPress blog?
Are you currently using a theme and planning to switch over to a new different theme? Or maybe you want to overhaul your current theme layout a little bit. What do you usually do?
- Put your blog to maintenance mode and start tweaking the live theme?
- Tweak the current live theme and pray that it works when you press the “Update File” button?
- Create a clone of your current blog to a different directory and tweak the new one there?
If you are doing any of the above, then STOP! Because there is a WordPress plug-in called “Admin Theme Preview” that will make your life so much easier.
