Well, firstly, I have to say that I have long given up on Explorer and switched to Mozilla long ago. But seeing good new features featured on Explorer is cool too - though it will never beat Mozilla’s handy never ending list of cool add-ons!

Still, great post. Really useful for people who aren’t sure if they want to get the second beta or not! :D Dugg it, buzzed it, reddited it, and of course, stumbled it! xD Check it out:

IExplore 8 really looks great. But been using firefox for so long that it is really hard to use another browser now. Giving it a try :)

I hardly use IE except to check the newly-code-wordpress-theme. But I guess I’m still looking forward to the newer version. :P

I use IE on occasion, but mainly use Firefox. It seems people really like applications that allow you to customize with plugins or mods.

I read somewhere that IE 8 is more closely following the HTML standards than previous versions. I’m not sure if this is true or not, as I haven’t tried IE 8.

  7. Thanks for the compliments.

Well IE8 won’t stop me using Firefox 3, unfortunately. But again, since I already have IE7 installed on my Windows anyway, might as well update it to IE8. It doesn’t hurt ;)

    Using IE7 & FF3, never tried IE8B1.

I am still comfortable with FF3. I may try IE8B2 one day and see if it has gotten better.

    Thanks for the tip.

    Cheers!

  10. No need to be excited about, guys, if you are already using Firefox 3 :D (I’m still using FF3 as my primary browser)

I’m quite surprised though, that about 80% of my readers who are using Internet Explorer, are still using IE 6… O_o

To Michael, IE6 is classical, :) I like it as well.

IE8 is so damn slow compared to firefox, forget Chrome, with chrome to switch to, I wouldn’t even think about the switch…but then, I did upgrade…there’s no harm in upgrading, right?

  13. Well at least IE8 is fast to open, compared to Firefox :D

But yeah as you said, Chrome > IE8
