Help me on deciding a domain name

CrossHey guys, I’m trying to set-up a next blog on Christianity + its resources.
It’ll be a blog (WordPress) containing sermon summaries from my church, bible studies, cell group discussions, and some personal posts as well.

Can you suggest a good domain name? At the moment I’m thinking to grab www.writeforgod.com but if you have a better suggestion, please share it here! Please check first whether the domain is still available before suggesting (www.checkdomain.com)

I also think to put it as a sub-folder under my personal website (www.michaelaulia.com/ ….something…) instead of a new domain name for it. What do you guys think?

writeforgod.com is a winner as it’s easy to remember. I like the name and it’s really speaks for itself.

I would suggest to not to gor for a domain, but to go under a subdomain, which can survive, just because your current domain name is not the one which reflect your kind of blog.

i’m not comfortable with the writeforgod.com, since the uncap god may be for a generic one. May i suggest: wordreflections.com

blogforgod.com and bloggingforgod.com would have been perfect, but they are already registered. I agree with blogzilla that writeforgod.com is the best. Better register it now, or someone will. :)

Marie’s idea of using a subdomain backfired for a community site here in the Philippines. Users thought the name was too self-serving. But since Michael is thinking of a blog, it might be a good idea to pursue, although I will vote for writeforgod.com

I don’t think I’ll go for a subdomain….might as well get a new domain for it :)

@IslesTech: haha yeah I tried that, also with writingforgod.com which sounds better than writeforgod.com.

The cap “god” instead of “God” shouldn’t be a problem as they’ll know which God I’m talking about after they read the posts :D

Thanks for all of the comments, guys! I’ve taken the domain + hosting plan under my hosting again, LunarPages. Been with them for years with several accounts and they have this $5 deal for Spring at the moment which I don’t want to miss!

Applied, 10 minutes later everything was set-up for me. A very happy customer as always :)
