Take a site’s screenshot with IECapt
Ever wonder how to take a screen on a whole site or blog? You can probably get away with using a screen capture software, but you’ll only be getting what you see on your screen.
Using IECapt, you can grab a screenshot of the whole blog/site, even though you have to scroll down to see the entire site.
IECapt is most useful if you are doing a lot of other blog/site reviews. IECapt is a simple piece of program and free to download and use. It’s not sophisticated though and you have to use the command prompt to run it, which is quite annoying for some people.
For example to grab a site, you have to type:
iecapt –url=http://www.writeforgod.com/ –out=god.png
If you’ve found a better program than IECapt, please let us know here. IECapt was having problem getting a screenshot of my blog (I suspect that there may be CSS and Javascript problems on my theme
)
Nevertheless, feel free to download IECapt and give it a try.

Nice tool, I’m sure it’ll come in handy if I try to include such screenshots on my blog.
I use the Mozilla Firefox add-on ScreenGrab! which is small and is located in the corner of my status bar, just when I need it - works even better than IECapt by the looks of it: You can take what you just see on the screen, the whole thing (scrolling down) or your own selection. Really cool - please check it out and let people know about it!

That’s actually a nice tool. I hate it when I use print screen and my image software to do screenshots. I always seem to miss something.
This software will eliminate that problem.
Didn’t expect this post to be quite popular lol.
Thanks Feabionsu for sharing that. I’ll remember it next time I want to take a screenshot for a whole site.
@Yan: Sorry, not a mac user and lover lol. Hope someone here can help you with that
I can see how that screen shot capture can be a really useful tool. Thanks for that post.

If you are using Firefox, I’d suggest to try Screen Grab as suggested by Feabionsu.
I’ve tried it and it’s an excellent extension!
I second that and that’s what I’m using right now…oh wait a minute, I didn’t even realize that I could grab the whole page..Poor me…
